Don Revie Sculpture unveiled at Elland Road

The Leeds Club are proud to support Graham Ibbeson as he reveals his latest sculpture in Leeds. A bronze statue of former England and Leeds United manager Don Revie has been unveiled at Elland Road 40 years after the team last won the FA Cup.

The 8ft (2.5m) statue by Barnsley sculptor Graham Ibbeson was revealed on Saturday morning by players from the 1972 cup-winning team.

Over the past six years Graham has exhibited his brilliant sculptures inside The Leeds Club, where they can be seen today.

New Partnership with The Yorkshire Mafia

Over the last year we have been striving to significantly increase membership so that you are able to connect with, do business, and interact with more people whilst in the club. Our vision is that the club, with its traditional values and outstanding service, is busy and buzzing and relevant to successful business people today.
FWe are therefore delighted to announce that from Wednesday 21st March, we will be joining forces with The Yorkshire Mafia to make our vision into a reality. This will not affect your membership in any way, and you will still be able to enjoy the same benefits and facilities that you have always done.

Who are The Yorkshire Mafia?
The Yorkshire Mafia started as a LinkedIn Group in 2008, and offer a unique forum for interaction with diverse industry executives who share a homogenous interest in the advancement of the Yorkshire region. The group currently has over 9000 members, runs several very successful business events every year, and has recently been featured in The Times, The Telegraph, The Guardian and The Sunday Telegraph.

What does the new partnership mean?
The Leeds Club will be the new bricks and mortar base for the Yorkshire Mafia in Leeds, which will help us to increase the number of members that sign up. From Wednesday 21st March, any new members will need to join the Yorkshire Mafia LinkedIn Group prior to applying for membership of The Leeds Club.

We’ve changed our name!

The legacy of the Club, its values and important history in business around Yorkshire, is what first drew us to invest in it. Since then we have evolved in to a modern brand, which you know as Club LS1. New approaches have been introduced from time to time, that although went some way to reflect today’s business community, have not always resonated with what is good and proud about the clubs heritage.

In my short time working with the team, the members and within the Yorkshire business community, it has become very clear to me, that we need to embrace all that was strong and outstanding about the Club of old and marry it with what you, as members, need today.

It is therefore our privilege to inform you that as of Monday 13th February 2012 we will once again be known as The Leeds Club. We underline our pledge to deliver outstanding service and adhere to traditional values and etiquette, in a manner that is relevant to successful business people today.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support, commitment and counsel, and look forward to welcoming you to an even more successful organisation and all that is right at The Leeds Club.

BBC film at The Leeds Club

The BBC will be filming at The Leeds Club on Wednesday 25th April, at some point between 10am – 1pm, to get members’ opinions on the Leeds mayor debate.
